Glitzy Glass StarsJust in time for your holiday decorating Glitzy Glass Stars makes these beautiful shimmering decorations that would be beautiful winter or summer. Each one is hand made with care and if your winters are dark like mine, a shining star in the window casting rainbows around the room would do a great deal toward lightening up the dusk.

This particular star is half of today’s giveaway package and measures eight inches across with dangling beads on the points. If you’re looking for good deals too, I’ve noticed that the Glitzy Glass blog has been carrying some terrific pre-holiday sales that make things even more tempting.

The Dinosaurs' Night Before ChristmasOur second winner will get a package of three books from Chronicle Books for Kids which has some terrific titles for the kids on your holiday list. I was sent copies of The Dinosaurs’ Night Before Christmas, the 3-D World Atlas and Tour and the Worst Case Scenario Handbook Extreme Junior Edition which are going to be very popular under our Christmas tree this year.

I’m a big fan of children’s non-fiction books and my boys particularly love maps so these 3-D maps and pictures (of course the book comes with 3-D glasses) which pop off the page are going to be a hit.

And I’m imagining that the Worst Case Scenario Handbook will come in handy for flavorful dinnertime conversation. “What’s the best way to escape a volcano or a charging rhino?” We’ll get to toss heavy questions like that around while we’re passing the peas.

Great books and great holiday treats for the kids, what could be better?

One winner will win the beautiful glass star from Glitzy Glass and the second will win the set of three books from Chronicle. If you have a preference, please let me know in your comment and I’ll do my best to align the stars in your favor.
